Ranang Aji P
Ranang Aji SP is an Indonesian writer and artist who lives in Magelang. In addition to producing literary works such as short stories, poetry, and novels, Aji has also produced theoretical works such as the “fractionation technique,” which is applied in theater and visual arts. His play The Rise of Don Quixote (the book version of "The Resurrection of Don Quixote") won first prize in the 2025 Jakarta Arts Council (DKJ) Theater Competition.
The script, which has been staged by three theater groups in Jakarta (2026), utilizes the “fractionation technique.” Additionally, Aji contributed the concept of a “mode of reading” called Daya Gerak (DaGer), which was published in a book titled "Daya Gerak: Kartografi Energi Sastra dan Episteme Zaman" (Nyala, 2026).
Through the Indonesiana endowment fund and the LPDP, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia provided Ranang Aji SP with support to create “Neo-Borobudur”—a concept that translates the philosophy or operational system of Borobudur into a visual grammar that can be applied across various visual media.
